Should I plan a welcome dinner?

My wedding is the day after yours! I'm mailing out my invites here in the next 2 weeks as well so sounds like we have great timing =D

 

I love the idea of doing a welcome dinner, but maybe informal cocktails are the way to go even if there are no travel constraints. It may be a stuffy weekend if every event is formal. I think you are setting a great tone doing it that way!

I like the idea of informal drinks/etc. Once again ladies - this forum is giving me great ideas, and easing my mind!

At my friends wedding they did the informal cocktail at the main bar area (free since all inclusive). Then we all decided to have dinner together at one of the nicer restaurants. We were able to sit together as large group, meet each other, welcome bags etc. all at no extra cost since all inclusive. Not sure if this only works since low season. Or if still would work during peak times

Cocktails sounds great. I also like the idea of an excursion together if time allows!
