Excellence Riviera Cancun Brides?

Recommended Posts

Hey girls! I just left the sign a few weeks ago, so it wouldn't have been there for other weddings to use.  She said brides are always asking if they have one but they didn't until I left it for you wonderful gals!  She said people usually bring one with their names and date on it and leave it but people can't reuse it.  She was very grateful I left the one my new father-in-law and I made by hand.  It was a great collaborative effort and I hope others enjoy it as much as we did.  It was a b*tch to get through customs or we would have brought it home :)  Just ask for it!  I'm sure she wouldn't offer it unless someone asked!  :)  She is on vacation right now because I sent her an email to thank her and got her out of office.

We paid with a credit card.  The wedding package + any wedding extras (sparklers, other add-ons, etc.) totals were added to the cost of the room and we paid for it all together.  When you meet with Gloria before the wedding, she goes over all of your choices and the cost that you will be charged.  We didn't have any additional fees for using our credit card internationally, but I'm sure it's a good idea to ask your credit card company in advance!

Turquoise Please,

Same with us.  When we arrived and met with Gloria, she showed us the contract with the prices.  When we checked out we paid with cc.  We had some additional charges on our room we kenw about.  No surprises at all.  I will tell you this made me a little nervous paying for everything after and during checkout, but it went well.  I would let your cc company know that you'll be traveling.  some companies shut off cards when they are used in another country as safety/fraud protection.  Everything will be so fantastic!

I have a question about the spa if anyone can answer it. I'm planning to take the bridal party and Moms to the spa the day before for a treatment of their choice (ie: massage, mani/pedi or facial). If you get a treatment, do you also get to do the hydrotherapy pool tour? I've emailed the spa to ask them this but I think language barriers may be getting in the way and the response I got was confusing. Anyone know?

Thanks for the reply girls! No one has upgraded to Excellence Club in our group, so we can't take advantage of that, but good to know. I've emailed with them a bit more and I think I have the answer now. Rhiham, you're right, it depends on the service you choose. If you get a massage, body treatment, facial or one of the rituals, the aqua wellness is included in it. So it's included for almost everything, except unfortunately for things like mani/pedis, it's not included. It's weird though because you pay the same price for a mani/pedi combo as a massage or facial, so you'd think it would be included. I'll just have to let the girls know so they don't feel left out of the aqua tour if they want to try it.

And I would say that if it's within the girls' budgets, the $35 for the hydrotherapy is worth it!  Shaun and I thought it was really fun and relaxing...we were like little kids oohing and ahhing at the water jets and hot stones and stuff haha
