Excellence Riviera Cancun Brides?

Hi Ladies!

I had to jump on here to see what was going on at ERC. I am getting married at Excellence Playa Mujeres on May 19th and after 4, yes 4 wedding planners in the last year and a half, just got Nayeli...I LOVE her! Some of the brides on the EPM thread are still being shuffled around so I wanted to see if the same thing was happening here. Sounds like EPM needed Nayeli!

What a great idea about the chair sashes! I had decided against them due to cost, but I need to rethink that if we can bring them into the resort!

Also in the same boat about my OOT bag stash...bottles of Excedrin, tums, Imodium etc. I'm sucking it up and getting the sparklers at the resort because of the possible "contraband" situation at the airport, but didn't even think about the meds! Just an FYI for time purposes if anyone is thinking of sending a package...We had sent an invitation down to show them our colors, and it took a month to get there.

I'm actually celebrating my honeymoon at the Excellence Riviera Cancun - immediately following my wedding, which is taking place in just a few short weeks at the gorgeous new Paradisus La Perla / La Esmeralda in Playe del Carmen.

I just ordered samples of the sashes from https://www.tableclothsfactory.com and got free shipping! I just don't know what colors to do so I ordered a couple different ones. If any of you ladies are interested, I would suggest ordering asap because free shipping ends today. I'm so excited...now I just have to wait 7-14 days for them to come

Regarding sending packages-I emailed Gloria and she gave me an email address of someone who they work with to help with items being shipped into Mexico.  The company is called CICSA Logistics Solutions.  have you heard of them? They have warehouse in the US and you would ship your package there and then they would take over and ship it down to mexico.  You have to fill out a form of what you're sending and they will give you a quote.  I dont know if Im going to do this.  When nayeli was my coordinator she said to use fed ex. maybe I am looking too much into sending packages vs bringing them on the plane?  I don't know.  Just stressed about it!

On a side note, I just saw your post about OOT bags and stuff you've gotten so far. Where did you get your chair sashes? I would rather buy some and bring them down as opposed to paying for them down there. Another thing...I didn't even think about customs confiscating the Gatorade packets, advil/pepto/etc!!! I hope that doesn't happen because that would totally ruin the bags ok maybe that's a little dramatic but it would really suck!!

Bunny, decisions decisions!! I don't know...I may just put my stuff in one of my checked bags. I'm wondering how often people get stuff confiscated like that? Also, I wonder if the meds/gatorade packets were put inside of something else like a first aid kit or something...maybe they would overlook them? Man, I just don't know what to do either!

Bunny Bride, I don't know if you have seen the posts in the OOT Bag section of the forums, but there was someone posting today about OTC medications for OOT bags and it sounds like if it's in it's original packaging they will not confiscate it. At least that is what I gathered...Yipee! I just ordered my meds today from http://www.first-aid-product.com/ SUPER CHEAP!

I was going to make my own first aid kit, but now I have decided just to buy some already pre-made ones and then add more motrin, advil, etc.  I mean, with all-inclusive, I KNOW that my friends will be needing more than 2 tablets of advil for the whole trip.  I am getting them at http://www.navyandlavender.com/product/tote_rescue_me_kit/. I haven't bought them yet, as I just found out today that one more pseron is going! Thank GOD when I ordered other items, I ordered up in case of people deciding last minute.   I think I might wait 2 weeks until I order them.

i am getting married at ERC 6/11/12 ... i love nayeli and i am sorry for the ones who dont have her as a wedding planner anymore .. I have met with her many of times and we just click so well , trust me no matter who you have your weddings are going to be amazing

 

what colors is everyone doing ?? 

 

i just bought welcome bags and have been filling them with alot of things , does anyone have any ideas to put inside a welcome bag?
