Excellence Riviera Cancun Brides?

So if you're doing a welcome dinner how much is it per person? I asked Gloria and she said it would be an extra 25 per guest to add a tail. I've been emailing Gloria but no answers of late.. Where did you buy the sashes from? And you're doing a private dinner in the foyer correct? Any chance you would email the private dinner options? my email is [email protected]

I emailed the menu.

The welcome dinner is $25 per person and includes the four course dinner and two hours of private bar. The lobster for our dinner is not a full tail. It's basically lobster meat in a sauce, so it isn't extra.

I got the sashes from here:  http://weddinglinensdirect.com/  There are other sites, but they had the best turquoise option for what we are looking for.

Yes, I switched the welcome dinner from Garibaldi Square to the Foyer because I was not impressed with the Square. It's in the back of the resort and I felt like we'd feel like we were in a small corner.

So far, I have not heard of any additional fees in regards to the food or menus. Is there something you were thinking?

Also, here are the final menus we chose:

Welcome Dinner:

***Mixed greens with radicchio, carrot ribbons, hearts of palm, tomato, mandarin and grapefruit segments served with a orange passion fruit dressing

***Cilantro avocado soup with panela cheese

***Pistachio crusted salmon with orange chipotle glaze combined with grilled chicken breast laced with red wine and forest mushroom sauce served with roasted onion tequila confit and lentil saffron rice

***Bitter chocolate coffee and cardamom truffle cake with a hazelnut praline emulsion

Wedding Reception Dinner:

*** Fresh romaine lettuce, Parmesan flakes, creamy Caesar dressing served with focaccia croutons

*** Potato, leeks and corn chowder

*** Wild berry sorbet

*** Grilled fillet of beef tenderloin on roasted bell pepper pasilla acuyo sauce combined with chunky lobster simmered in a creamy fennel sauce served with roasted garlic herb mashed potato and grilled vegetables

*** Wedding cake (to be decided)

@@JenniferH114 awesome! 2 more questions ps, did you switch just the entree or the entire courses for your reception? And lastly will you have music in the foyer during your private dinner?

Jessica said we could pick and choose as long as everything was on one of the menus. So we mixed up our options and she confirmed that everything we picked was fine. We actually already had the reception menus printed.

I haven't thought about music for the welcome party, actually, but I'm sure we'll try to figure something out. We aren't planning on hiring entertainment or anything, so if we don't have music it's fine. I figure people will be mingling a lot anyways.

I agree with you @@JenniferH114, we just did one entree for everyone as well.  I just put on the invitations the entree was a surf and turf, so let me know if there are any dietary restrictions.  One less thing to worry about.  I think we will just do open seating too.  I like what you are doing for your table!  I still need to figure that out, but want to do the same idea of multiple decor pieces across the long table.  Just hoping Jessica will work with me on the centerpieces offered in the package.

anyone have a budget planning worksheet?  We are going to go with Finest in Playa Mujeres since we can not do excellence we will have our 2 year old with us :) But from what I am hearing Finest will be exactly the same as excellence which is super excited.  We just did site visits last week of a bunch of resorts loved Tulum but to far for our guests I feel bad.  Beloved was also on our top lists.. but a little quiet so Finest seems to be just right.

Now just looking for planning worksheets so I can compare it to one more resort we had on our list we liked Azul Sensatori because of the things they had for kids was really nice.
