MJKH - Wedding week survival bags are done!!! Lots of pics : )

Recommended Posts

Thanks ladies for all of your feedback!

Here are today's projects using the leftovers from the welcome bags and a bagful of freebies/samples I had in the closet.  Our ceremony/reception area is in a private/more remote area of the resort that is accessed by carts driven by resort staff.  Therefore, it's not the easiest thing to do to run back to your room if you have a bit of an emergency.  These baskets will go into the mens' and ladies' rooms (between the two baskets we should have most issues covered!):

I've shrink-wrapped and labelled the mens basket...the ladies basket needs a few more things like bobby pins, hair elastics...I'm not ready to close that one up yet!

This is our bag we'll take out on group excursions.  It includes pain relievers and other over-the-counter meds, sunscreen, bug spray, first aid kit, tampons and liners, hand sanitizer, kleenex, wipes, a deck of cards, a sewing kit, breath mints and gum.

Thanks...part of me will be so relieved when it's all over and the other part will be so disappointed as it's been a lot of fun! : )

I asked my FI last night, "What are we going to do with all of our time once the wedding is over?"...he replied "We didn't have any trouble finding things to do before, I'm sure we won't after!"

Here's a list of everything in the reception toiletry baskets:

  • gum, mints
  • mouthwash, dental floss and picks
  • lint roller, static guard, sewing kit with extra safety pins, stain removal pens/wipes
  • tampons and liners
  • eyeglass wipes
  • deodorant, hand lotion, sunscreen, bug spray
  • tissues, hand wipes, isogel
  • hair spray, bobby pins, hair elastics
  • first aid kit, pain relievers and other over the counter medications
  • nail file/clipper
  • small mirror
  • blotting papers
  • lip balms

Any other ideas for items in the ladies' basket?

We'll put a little card next to each basket saying something like "We've got you covered!  Please help yourselves..."
