I have a new boy name to add to the list.  I was at my cousins baby shower this past weekend and she's kind of in the same situation, but they are opposite.  Meaning she married a first generation Italian as well, and she's all Irish, but her hubbie is pushing for super Italian names and she doesn't feel right since she's Irish.  She said that right now, he's pushing Vincent but she don't like Vin/Vinny/Vince and I said yeah, I can see that, but you could name him Vincenzo and call him Enzo - and then I slapped Jill and said, oh shit, I just found my name! My cousin was telling me to shush with the Italian version b/c she didn't want it, so I told her I'm totally stealing it and putting it on my list.

So Vincenzo (Enzo for short) is my current #1.  And of course, Matt doesn't love it b/c there's a cousin Vince.  But we would use Enzo, not Vin/Vinny/Vince.

What about anyone else, got any baby names you want to discuss?

honestly, Paul was that way too with us.  i mean it's just not as real for them until the baby comes.  some guys get into it more during the pregnancy but it's so common for them to struggle more during the pregnancy.  i mean, we're living in 24/7 and they're just, well, not.

but i can play the name game all day - for me it was one of the only fun parts of being pregnant!  lol

There were a small handful of boy names I liked, but much fewer than girls, that's for sure.  And we were a little limited, which probably helped - we knew that Sean or John had to be a part of the name for my FIL.  I still like Kellan for a boy but its becoming more and more popular, as is Brayden, but we still used that as Sean's middle name.

It's a Boy!!!!!!! So......Savana, Macy and all the other girl names i liked are out of the question. I love thinking about what his name will be. Everything i look at now is inspiration. All the magazines, names of car models, everything i look at is a potential name.

Dilan Vincent Bonidie is what I'm stuck on right now. I like that is is 5 letters like Brian and Casey. Plus, a 'D' name to boot : )    I like using Brian's middle name. I can't thnk of a middle name if we chose Vincent for the first name.

Congrats on the little boy!  We had our scan on Monday but had them put it in an envelope and it's on my fridge right now driving me crazy!  We still plan to open on Christmas, so I'm so jealous of you for knowing right now!  Yay boy!

And funny b/c  my bff for 25+ years is pregnant as well and due 3 weeks before me and she is having a boy and her top pick is Dillon and my top pick for a boy is Vincenzo, so your name is a combo of the two!

oohhhh!  that's what i did - i looked at magazines, read the credits of movies, etc - anything for name inspiration!  and still we only had a couple boy names that we seriously considered.  most all of them were irish though, but that's what i wanted.  trouble is so many irish names are too popular.
