Punta Cana Destination Wedding

Hi Girls,

This is my very first post ever...on any website.  So, I am recently engaged and starting to plan a destination wedding to Punta Cana.  I am trying to choose between the Majestic Elegance or the Riu Palace. I would love to hear from those of you who have had or are having weddings at either.  I am concerned about the civil ceremony and the legality or validity of it back in my home of Chicago. Was this a huge pain in the ass for people? Or not bad at all?

I would also love some ideas of DIY stuff that you brought with you for the ceremony and/or reception. I would especially like to see pictures of your wedding if you had the ceremony on the beach (that is what I am aiming for).
