TTD....

Can anyone tell me why people do this or what the point is?!  I have never heard of it!

People do it to have fun in their wedding dresses and get some amazing pictures. You should google it or look it up here and see those amazing pics.

I think it came about because brides tend to wear the dress then never touch it again, so a TTD is a fun way to get another use out of it.  Unless you plan to gift or re-sell your dress it may be something you decide to do.

I've seen some great pics!  I had just never heard of it, even from people that I know that have had destination weddings.  Looks fun!

I didn't know much about it before I started researching DWs.  I think it is a great photo op and great use of your dress but my hubby won't go for rolling around in the sand. Lol.  If you can afford it, I think you should definitely go for it.

Hi pfeiffla! It's an amazing experience and I'm actually headed down to do mine with Del Sol Photography (my wedding photogs) this November! I wrote a bit about it as well in case you're interested! Trash the Dress

 

In my case, we're heading down to Playa del Carmen about a year and a half after we had our destination wedding to celebrate with a TTD session. It's another excuse to put on a wedding dress and capture some incredible moments! It's also another reason to get back to your destination if you aren't able to do it right after your wedding!

That is such a good idea!  I never thought of doing it on our anniversary or sometime later!!!!   I would much rather do that as I am starting to feel overwhelmed getting everything finalized just for the wedding!  Thanks for the great idea....you took a load off my shoulders

Aw you're so sweet and I'm so glad it helped calm you down I completely understand. Planning a destination wedding is a thrilling, unforgettable, completely worth it but at times an overwhelming experience. It definitely is giving us something to really look forward to and the fact that we'll get to feel like we've just gotten married all over again...priceless!
