2013 Melia Caribe Tropical Brides

Do you have the 2013 costing??

Getting married there Jan 15th 2013, Garden Gazebo, Tropical Fairy Tale package, and reception at the Tropical Convention Centre with about 50 guests.  Karem is my "romance specialist" and even though they advise 4 business days for a reply this far in advance he seems to get back to me within a business day so I am happy with him. 

 

Debating on whether or not to use the onsite wedding photographers, you don't get much for what you pay for and I am unsure about the quality.  Anyone have pics they can share or advise on this? 

 

Also wondering about the hair and make up job they do at the salon!

We are using HDC for our photgrapher.  The resort prices were too much for too little..  HDC is giving 2 extra hours to help compenstate for the $1,000 copyright fee charged by melia to use an outside photographer.  HDC is also set up with paypal so you do not have to the international wire fee $40 for the deposit. 

 

I plan on using the hair and make-up at the resort spa., I have not heard any negative,  plus their bridal salon package includes a trial run for the hair.

Hello Brides!

I've been reading about this photography charge of $1000 for outsiders! That is insane!

I have a bit different of a situation...I have a close friend who is getting into photography, and I want to ask her to shoot our wedding. Do you think the resort would care if one of our guests had a nice big professional camera and were taking pictures during our wedding? LOL

This sucks that we can't choose our own photographer without the hefty price tag!

The resort will allow outside photographers if they are you guest and staying at the resort at least that is what I have read

Yes this is my understanding as well... as long as they are a guest staying for a minimum of 3 days.

 

We are bringing our photographer "family" and they will be staying for 5 days and I was told that as long as they were a guest it was ok

I am bringing my own photographer with me to the resort and they do not have a problem with it. As long as they are a guest as the resort there is no charge and they are fine with it
