Airline Disappointments - American has created significant impact by cancelled flights

With 30 days to go until my wedding, American Airlines has cancelled the flight carrying the majority of our guests.  They are willing to refund, but now with only 30 days left, other airlines are more expensive.  American is unwilling to compensate anyone for the inconvenience.  Unwilling to transfer to another airline.  Unwilling to refund the price difference to the later flight which was less expensive than the flights we booked.

OMG I'm sooo sorry...how can they do that??! Did they say why they cancelled? We're flying into Mexico in Dec, and most of our family is also flying American...

Unfortunately its part of the fine print under disclosures.  They reserve the right to cancel flights at any time.  They are cancelling flights at random trying to make cuts based on their financial condition.  Look at the flights you are flying to Mexico and see if the system gives you availability for the same flights.  If so, you are probably ok.  I had been looking for tickets on the same flights for the past few days and assumed it was cancelled because the same flights were not showing.  Then finally we received flight change notifications yesterday and today there were more.  Total nightmare.  We booked over 3 months ago and now its complete insanity trying to reschedule and creating the need to new shuttles which means more money.
