Hi Ladies,

This is my latest DIY.

I'm making our boquets out of fabric.  Each flower is hand sewn.  I've mastered about 10 different flowers.  I've been hunting for fabric reminents in any fabric within the white, offwhite and beige color scheme, at every JoAnne Fabrics I pass for months. I feel like the color combination and fabric differences really add to the depth of the boquet. Some flowers have beads, some do not.  It's quite the project but I just love how they are turning out.  I researched many different ways to construct the boquet and after countless trial and errors what ended up working was foam balls from Michaels, hot gluing a wood pick to each flower and sticking them into the foam ball.  Then I stuck a 12" wood dowel into the base of the ball and used heavy duty wires rapped in scraps of green fabric around the dowel to create an appearace of stems.  Anyway here's a so so I phone picture of the first finished boquet.  I used about 60 flowers for this boquet so I've been busy making flowers because I have 6 bridesmaids, a flower girl, 10 bouts and 2 corsages to make. I'll try to post more pics as I get further along.  If anyone is iterested in finding out more details just ask.
