Secrets Royal Beach

So Secrets Royal Beach, formerly NH Royal Beach, is currently at the top of my list for resorts to get married at in the DR, for the all-inclusive adults only experience. I like also that it's next door to NOW Larimar to have the option of a bunch more restaurants and activities but being able to still retreat back to an adults only atmosphere.

 

The only thing is I have not been able to find pretty much any pictures of weddings there! I've seen pictures of the resort and such on tripadvisor, but I'm hesitant to book without seeing pictures or hearing more reviews of the wedding ceremony and reception options.

 

Can anyone help out?

I am getting married there on Sept 1, 2012. There is a videographer, Florian Koetter, has a website,  Videopuntacana.com, that shows weddings that were at Secrets. LOVE IT!!! I was frustrated at first in regards to all this planning b/c people that I thought were going to be there aren't going to be for whatever reason, but now I DON'T CARE and 9.1.12 isn't coming fast enough.  If you are looking for a videographer, Florian is already there and his prices are pretty reasonable, at least from what I've seen so far.

Try this....  not a lot of pictures but the site gives information regarding their weddings. 

Also, I would ask them for some of the actual wedding reviews they received.

If you email the concierge, they will have the wedding coordinator send you pics. They sent us A LOT. If I figure out how to use this website, I will post some.

I'm also interested in Secrets, but also nervous that there aren't many reviews!

 

Did any one get group rates from a travel agent yet? I did, but they seemed high for a newer resort - just curious to what others got!

I am working with Denise Kahoud at destinationweddings.com and compared to other resorts, I think our prices are reasonable. For example, we are bringing our photographer with us & for her & her co-worker, staying 3 nights, its $420 for each (that $420 is total for the three days, doesn't include airfare, but includes unlimited food & beverage, taxes, and transportation, & their room is double occupancy, two beds). So, their total with the insurance is $938, I think.

We have our date booked at Secrets Royal Beach and I am looking for some pictures too...I emailed the WC and in the meantime have been looking all over the internet for pictures of weddings there...and haven't come up with many.
