Jennifer8913, do you have to bring your own cake utensils or do they offer some to you at the resort? What decor did you bring?? Your review makes me excited for my wedding there 11/15/13

I did bring my own cake utensils, so I am unsure if they supply them, I would think they do, but not 100% sure. I also brought my centerpieces, chair sashes, table overlays, fan programs, toasting flutes, cake topper, and shells, starfish placecards, guest book, and memorial luminaries. So glad you are excited! It was an awesome time I wish I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!!

Wow your day is very soon!!!! Our room was really nice, we were in the preferred club, but I had guests in regular rooms and also some in the garden view rooms, which were in the newer section, and they were really nice also! A shuttle runs between the 2 sections and the garden view rooms have their own lazy river type pool and swim up bar, very nice! Also, the Italian restaurant is in the section and it is one of the best in the resort!! We did not have a rehearsal dinner, I do believe it is extra. Let me know what pics you would like to see!!

That's so good to hear!! I heard about the rooms being far away from the beach but it doesn't seem like its a problem. I know that you posted in the other thread some pics of the centerpieces you were using which were so pretty! I'm not that talented. LOL. I'd love to see your reception setup and how it turned out, along with pictures of your ceremony at the fountain (I'm getting married there too)! I soooo want to bring all of my own decor like you since I want to save cash. And since you said Luisa did a good job of setting up your decor, I'd love to get the overall picture! Thanks so much for sharing!

*My ceremony set up was simple, I did not pay for the chair sash set up fee of $1 per sash for the ceremony, nor add any other decor. Unfortunately it was not in the budget, but the surrounding were so beautiful I did not feel I needed it.

* I wish I had a better pic of my tables, sorry!!!!

OMG everything looked gorgeous! Your colors were beautiful and so was your dress (from what I can see)! Your tables looked simple yet elegant. What did you do for music at dancing (resort DJ or outside vendor)? How long did the party last? Thanks again for sharing!

Thank you! We rented the ipod doc and speakers and it actually came with lighting and a man running the system, just no emcee, but luckily one of our friends was able to emcee for us and since system comes with a mic it worked out great! The reception was 3 hrs, which seems short, but we were so tired from the long day we were fine with it. Others went to the Eclipse nightclub after the reception which is a lot of fun and a nice atmosphere.

I put mostly all my decorations in one suitcase, and then i used the suitcase to bring home our wedding clothes so I didnt have to carry them on again. We had a total of three bags but even though i paid baggage fees, it was still less than renting from the resort. My lanterns collapsed so the were easy to pack. I included plastic mugs in my welcome bags and that was what took up the most room in the suitcase!
