Excellence Playa Mujeres Brides!!

Hello ladies, I am having my wedding in April 2012 at the Excellence Playa Mujeres.  I know there were previous brides on here from 2008/2009 but wanted to start a new thread to see if there have been any changes or any new feedback of the resort.  I am nervous because as gorgeous as the pictures on the website are, they are very vague about the actual wedding details.  Is there an actual reception or is it just dinner?  I have the Gold package (if that means anything to you) and should I hire a DJ? 

 

Any feedback on your wedding as a whole is greatly appreciated! Planning abroad is less stress, but different stresses than being hands on!

Congrats!! I too am getting married at EPM. Our date is May 3, 2012 with the gold package.

I have vacationed at this resort twice. Our wedding will be our 3rd visit. It is as beautiful as the pics dont worry! The reception is 3 hours long and dinner is included in it. If you want to hire the dj they use (DJ Mannia) and the WC sets that up for you(of course this is extra) All you have to do is let them know.

For the reception you can choose to have it in one of the closed restaurants for that evening or you can do it in the event room or the spice terrace. It may depend on how many guests you have. We choose the gazebo for the ceremony, x-lounge for the cocktail hour and spice terrace for the reception with the DJ.
