How much are you paying for airfare?

My travel agent emailed me today with a price of $900 each round trip to Montego Bay from the west coast. This seems kind of high to me. What is everyone else paying?

I forgot to say that we are getting married in June.

We are flying from Chicago to MBJ, and our airfare is $618 per person.  We're flying out in July.

No! Just the cheapo seats!

That's way too high...does it include trip cancellation insurance (usually about $75 - $100 per person)? From West Coast, including Oregon, you can find roundtrip airfares under $700 on Expedia and other travel websites.

We havent book our flights yet. I am hoping the prices drop some.(I check everyday!) From Philly to Mexico our round-trip airfare is $620 in coach.

I want first class but I am sure it will be way over-priced!

I've talked to a number of travel agents, and they all said the same thing -- that airfare prices will likely increase due to gas prices and/or due to the merger of 2 major airlines, and that this is a year that they're unable to predict when airfare will decrease. I still haven't booked our airfare because I'm hoping it'll decrease -- but feel that I may regret it if prices actually continue to increase!

We just booked our flights and the resort today! The second travel agent was able to find us flights for $685!
