How did you ask your bridal party to be in your wedding?

I mailed them a card asking them along with the Save the date. I knew they were all coming to the wedding so they were not expecting the "Will you be my bridesmaid cards". They loved it!

Mine live in different cities than I do. I got them leather ID bracelets w their name engraved on them. One was red and one was turquoise (my wedding colors). I sent them w a card saying how much they mean to me and asking them to be in the wedding. When they got them they called me and accepted.

I emailed my bridesmaids with this.. I borrowed the poem (can't really remember where I found it.

I just called them and said "we're getting married and I would like you to be a bridesmaid". Simple and effective, lol.

 

There are "Will you be my bridesmaid" cards you can get but anyway you ask them, it's the asking that counts. You can be as simple or fancy as you like.

In our case, our wedding party is just a BM and MofH and they are our brother and sister respectively so we know they are coming and didn't have to worry about them saying no bc of money cause they HAVE to be there lol. Since they don't live nearby, we sent them a package with tour books, maps etc along with a card that said will you be our best man/ maid of honor. We had them open it while were on the phone with them. I think it got them excited for the trip.
