Need Help

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I need help with some ideas.  I am planning our wedding in Feb 2012 in Las Vegas. I am not able to head to Vegas to check anythink out prior to our wedding so I have been checking out web sites and I am more confused now than ever! We are on a somewhat tight budget.  I was thinking about having the ceremony at the capel of flowers and than staying in a suite and having appatizers and drinks.  Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay or great bang for your buck deals.  Thanks

I just got married in Vegas last week.  We stayed at Treasure Island Hotel and were married at the Lakeside weddings location off strip.  I booked the wedding site through Always and Forever chapel (go to the website for pics of the lakeside weddings).  We were married on 11-11-11 and they did a wonderful job of not making us feel rushed.  It was a great day!  We stayed in a suite and had a small reception in our room then went to the buffet in our hotel for dinner.  It was very affordable and a great experience.  My only suggestion would be is to look into other hotels that have better suites.  Although ours was lovely, I wished I did more research on hotels before booking.  Mandalay Bay was very nice in the lobby and the pictures of the suites were nice too, just not sure on the price Good luck!!

How many guests are you planning on having? It's important to keep in mind that all of these hotels have a max of how many people you can have in a room, even a large room. I toured the vista suite and they said we could only have 40 people. That was a deal breaker for us because we wanted to have 60 plus guests.

Masterpiece catering also charges a tasting fee, even if you end up going with them for your event.

Honestly the biggest bang for your buck would probably be renting a home for a night or two. You have a lot more control of your event than you would in a hotel.

Hope that helps.

Happy planning!

I'm also having my wedding in May 2012 at Always and Forever lakeside weddings. I'm having 25 guest or less, (btw the lady at the wedding place told me the guest limit you choose doesn't include the Best man, MOH, you or groom, or anyone under 3, so that opens up a lot of room) Then having my reception in my suite.
