STD, NEWSLETTER, THEN INVITE

Hi everyone and congats!  I'm newly engaged and have been lurking on the site for a while.  I live in WI and want to get married on a Centra FL beach.  Since this is the 2nd wedding for me and my FI, we are only inviting immediate family.  So in total, we will probably have about 20 including ourselves and our children.

I'm wondering if it is okay to forego the wedding website and just send save the dates, and as things progress, send newsletters as updates.  Honestly, I can't see any of the siblings or parents looking fat the website.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Well hello DShane and Welcome!!!! I hope you find this website and the other ladies as helpful as I have.

As for the website, I never did one.  So I am not sure if it is something I thought was a big deal.  I did do the STD, although those were sent out for a different location, actually St. Augustine, Florida, LOL.  After that I sent out a letter informing everyone of the change and then invites to confirmed guest.  So in my opinion, just keep everyone updated the most convenient way for you!

Welcome!  We didn't do a wedding website as we are having a pretty small group (16 of us) and felt like no one would really look at it anyways.  We did send out STDs about a year in advance and our invitations about 6 months in advance.  About two months prior to our wedding we are sending out pre travel brochures with a bit more information for our guests.  Happy planning!

I dont' think a website is truly a big deal. Honestly, I have been invited to several weddings that the brides has websites a don't even remember if I looked at half of them or not!! I have decided not to do one...just sending out STD about a year in advance, then invites 6 months in advance...closer to the date I'm sending out pre-travel brochures!!
