Hello ladies. What are the music options at Dreams Cancun?

Has anyone used a Mariachi band? Price?

with the ultimate package you get either the mariachi trio or the carribbean trio for 45 minutes during cocktail hour.

 

here is the list I have of music options but the prices may be different, these are 2006 prices

 

 

Sound System for Ceremony $ 150 usd + 10% tax (CD player, Speaker, Microphone & Technician)

 

Caribbean Trio $500 usd +10% Tax per set of 45 minutes

 

Mariachi Trio $ 500 usd + 10% tax per set of 45 minutes

 

Solo Guitarist $ 480 usd + 10% tax

 

Jazz Band $850 usd +10% Tax per set of 45 minutes.

 

Flautist or Violinist $ 650 usd + 10% Tax per set of 45 minutes

 

Sax $ 650 usd + 10% Tax per set of 45 minutes

 

Salsa Band $950.00 usd +10% Tax per set of 45 minutes.

 

DJ $ 280 usd + 10% tax per set of 45 minutes

 

Mariachi Band $ 1,100.00 usd + 10% tax per set of 45 minute

 

Adagio (New Age) $ 1,000 usd + 10% tax per set of 45 minutes

I've read that alot of people are bringing ipods and laptops and just being their own reception dj's.

Can't remember the thread, but i read somewhere that the dj you use with dreams isn't the greatest...but don't quote me on that!

we are actually bringing out IPOD and having the mariachi for cocktail hour.

 

Susan (susan101207) is using a DJ, I think its a different one than the one with the bad review, you may want to ask her about DJ's

We are using PSAV Presentation Services for our sound/lighting package. The DJ is supposedly and MC as well (which we need). I was able to send a very specific music list to them, so they know exactly which song we want and when. I will write a review when we get back. So stay tuned....

If it comes down to it one of our guests is a former DJ/MC so I'm sure he could help out.

Hi Susan, i contacted presentationservices as well. They gave me a complete different price than what Daniella gave me for their price list. According to PS, Daniella has an old price list but the new quote I got is almost double the price that I got from Daniella. Do you have the same problem?
