Hello! My fiance and I put down the deposits today for our wedding day. We will be married at the Catholic Chapel on January 21st, 2012. I'm extremely excited to get so much great help from the planners there.

Congratss!!!! We got married at The Royal in Cancun and had our ceremony in the chapel at Gran Caribe real on June 21, 2011!!

Hi!

 

I'm getting married on April 27, 2012. We're staying at The Royal but holding the ceremony at the Gazebo on the Gran Caribe side. The reception will be at the Oceanfront Terrace of the Gran Caribe also.
 

I've seen many photos of the Chapel and it's absolutely beautiful! Lucky you! Good Luck planning!

I am so excited to announce, I am a September 1, 2012, Gran Caribe Real, Bride!! I actually just changed my whole wedding (and retrieved deposits) from a Majestic Colonial, DR wedding. I am so much happier with what Cancun has to offer, and I am in love with GCR.

Good luck to those brides who have Diana Gutierrez Rodriguez assigned to them as their on site wedding coordinator. She was very inconsiderate and not willing to do anything to make me feel better. She made me stress before, during, and after my wedding. I will forever have a horrible memory of parts of my wedding because of her!

Congrats ladies. Hope you have fun planning than I do because I have been mostly miserable. Our date is February 2012. So far only 2 couples are staying in GCR with us and everyone else (including my bridesmaids) are staying at other resorts such as Riu and Barcelo. I'm upset bc I'm afraid I won't be able to see any of them except for during the wedding. We chose a destination wedding so we can be on vacation with our close family and friends yet everyone is doing their own thing booking at other resorts. My parents and his mom haven't even booked yet and it's less than 3 months away! We are still waiting on about 30-50 guests for their response. Frankly I'm not even excited about this anymore. Anyways, sorry to be a Debbie Downer. Just needed to vent.

why are your friends staying elsewhere? this doesnt seem fair or right! are you using a travel agent? oh man, my wedding is still 10 months away, but im worried the same thing could happen to us!!

my advise on this is- DO NOT GIVE YOUR GUEST AN OPTION OF STAYING ELSE WHERE!!!

what is the point of going if they're not going to be on the same resort???

 

I only gave my guests the option of staying at The Royal or Gran Caribe Real.....and no one ever bothered to look anywhere else because they loved both resorts....
