Two Dresses??

I know some of you girls on here have worn different dresses for your TTD and wedding as well as for your wedding and AHR. My problem is a little different. We met with our priest here last night and he wants to marry us in the church BEFORE the wedding in Cabo. I was thinking we would do it afterward but he's pretty strict and basically gave us two dates. One is the weekend right before our actual wedding at Cabo Surf. Which is ideal because then we can continue to celebrate and not have to worry about any of the legal stuff. BUT, my FI's family is a plane trip away and I don't think they'll be able to make it up the week right before we leave for Cabo.

I kind of got off the topic but I need help deciding what wear to our church wedding here. I don't want to wear my wedding dress because I want it to be really special in Cabo in front of all our family and friends. I do want to wear something "bridal" though. I'm already having trouble because I really want our Mexico wedding to feel special but it's important for us to get married in our church too. Am I making sense? I could buy a second dress on ebay. What I really am looking for is one of those little lace jackets that you wear over your dress with a sash. Any ideas?

That's the thing we're deciding on. It will definitely be our parents and grandmas. Thanks for posting!

OMG - you're getting married the day before me in Cabo. I've been looking for another BDW bride that would be in Cabo the same time as me. (Sorry to highjack your thread.)

I think you've got several options. A few of which include ...

Buy a dress of eBay (I got my TTD one on there for $76) ... or just find a nice white/ivory dress that is fitting for the type and style of both your church and personality.

If you want the cute jacket/sash ... why not get a long (or shorter) strapless dress that a sash will complement ... and then a similar small jacket to wear over it.
