Jus got in engaged!!

Hi Ladies! I just got in engaged this weekend. My fiance and I LOVE the beach so we thought it would be fitting to have our wedding in Mexico. I'm thinking June 2013. We are headed to Dreams Pureto Aventuras for vacation in Ocotber so I am hoping to check things out while we are down there! Soooo happy and can't WAIT to start planning! Glad I found this forum- I can already tell its going to help a TON <3

I just wanted to mention to you that if you are going down to Mexico in October it might be a good idea to see if you can set up some sight inspections at other resorts while you are down there. Sometimes if you get in touch with the right people, you will be able to go down and see various resorts on a day trip (or over a few days). They can show you where the weddings take place, what the set up looks like, meet the wedding coordinator at each property and even sample the food!

 

It may be difficult to organize this on your own, but if you enlisted the assistance of a travel agent they should be able to set up something like this quite easily. I am not sure if you plan to use a TA to help plan your DW. I highly recommend getting a travel professional to assist you with your Special day, to ensure that everything runs smoothly and you suffer the least amount of stress possible. Whether or not you choose this route, I would still advise talking to someone about setting up site inpections while you're down there. I mean- what better way to choose a resort then first-hand experience!?

Thanks for the get advice. I have actually gotten in contact with my travel agent and he is going to help me set some on site inspections up! Thanks again!
