Trevor and I just got engaged last Saturday night, after 7 years together. We have always dreamed of a destination wedding and I plan on using this site to get me started. We have NO IDEA where we want go...maybe Mexico, Jamaica, St. Lucia...it will all depend on where we can get the best bang for our buck.

I look forward to planning with Best Destination Wedding!

welcome.gif, maureen!!!

this site is a god-send..you'll find a wealth of tips, tricks and templates that will be quite useful in your planning.

i highly recommend surfing the destination pages..there are so many beautiful and cost efficient resorts in the carribean, etc..i'm sure you'll find helpful info here and elsewhere.  in addition, the BDW brides are some of the most cost savvy brides online..most are DIY divas and can provide you with all sorts of info on how to make your big day as special as possible.

good luck and happy planning!!

Hi Maureen

Congratulations on your engagement!!

You have definitely come to the right place for assistance in planning your DW. If you and Trevor find yourselves absolutely stuck on finding a destination for your wedding, I would highly recommend trying to find a travel agent that can assist you in the process. You will find many great options on this forum, but seeing as it is so big, it could get a little overwhelming without some guidance. Since you will want to negotiate a cost effective group rate, you will probably find the help of a professional.

Best of luck with your wedding and your marriage! :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
