Hi! Congratulations your wedding looked beautiful.

I was wondering if you could help me. I was thinking of doing a private poolside reception for dinner as well. But is it windy out there? Would you consider doing that or is it only good for dancing? Also was it really hot at night time out by the pool?

Thanks again!

I had a poolside reception with dinner and it was amazing.  Beautiful light breeze, the pool lit up gorgeous, and then dancing under the stars after dinner.  It was perfect!!  The breeze keeps it comfortable, I think.

We are getting married in June do you think that will be too hot at night for people? I know it's super windy then but i am wondering if the wind is blocked a bit?

Also i have booked our ceremony for 5pm so everything will be quite late.

Lastly, if you don't mind me asking approx how much does that cost?

Thanks so much!

Hard to say if it'd be too hot or not.  I don't think so... but it depends on your tolerance.

Ceremony at 5pm is perfect in June, actually.  The lighting will be fantastic for your photos!!

For me, it was $35 per person for dinner and drinks.  I had to pay the DJ extra.  Now the pricing has changed somewhat... so harder to say.

HI ladies, looking for opinions of having the reception on the beach? They are now offering it as well as poolside. No extra charge for it and two options given in a tent between the beach and bool? or directly on the beach (akumal beach wedding site), I'm kind of loving the idea but don't want it to be crazy windy or something. We are getting married Dec 9th 2015. Also she mentioned that the $450 privatization fee was only applicable during the high season. I have been assigned Luciana and so far have been receiving emails back same day, I also wasn't one to send emails way in advance so probably have a lot of planning to do. I feel comfortable and that they are on the ball :) happy planning ladies

Thanks for the info @@HannahMarie! The beach reception looks great!

Would you happen to know when the high season is that they would charge the privatization fee!

Thanks for sharing @@HannahMarie ! We are currently trying to decide between a beach reception or poolside. If anyone else has pictures of a poolside reception I'd greatly appreciate seeing them and hearing your opinion!
