I have photographed a wedding where the cake was served poolside after dinner.  And also one where they cut the cake in Don Pablo but then had it at the poolside reception with plates and forks.

I will say, it's a three milks cake... and it's really hot outside... so I'm not necessarily sure it should sit outside for that long, but it still tasted good and I didn't get sick!  Ha!

Their desserts and their cakes are so good!  And the poolside reception is right by the buffet.  So honestly, if someone wants a different dessert than what you choose, they can go right in the buffet and grab from a selection of about 20 different dessert items!  So do what you want.  If you like the look of a larger cake, then go with that and don't worry about the little desserts :)

Where is everyone having their reception dinner? I wanted Portofino because so many Coba brides commented on how good it was, but that menu wasn't included in the menus I was sent and the resort won't tell me why. We received El Pescator, Le Gourmet, and Mediterraneo.

We were slayed to have dinner at the Arlequin but after the planner sent me the new menu for the restaurant we didn't like the choicee so we have now picked dolce vita.

On another note it strange... I was given Jasmin as a wedding coordinator and emailed back and forth with Linda of course. Then all the sudden they told me I will now be dealing only with a lady names Latisha. Not sure what's going on there but on the bright side she's responding to my emails daily. 2 weeks today till we leave!!!

Hi Everyone :)

I'm getting married at Tulum in March 2016. I have had very little luck with communication thus far. I've talked to people from the resort a few times but nothing really concrete and there was a huge mix up in the beginning. Charlotte is supposed to be contacting me so I can make my deposit payment but I've heard nothing back from her. Has anyone had any like with talking to them on the phone?

I have so many other questions but first I need to make sure my date is saved for my since our trips are already booked....

Ok great thank you Ladies! - The initial mix up was that they booked my wedding in Punta Cana and took the funds off my credit card. I sorted it out and the funds were returned but I haven't heard from from Tulum lately, after reading your posts I understand this is quite normal!
