Hey there every one! My name is Laly, and my fiance and I are planning a destination wedding in San Francisco, CA for 4/21/2012. It will be an intimate wedding with about 25 people, including us. We've been engaged for a year now in July 22nd, but we're barely starting our wedding plans seriously. We thought we'd be getting married in TX, where my family is and where we want to live, but things are so complicated with our moving plans, family, finances and every thing. So instead of having a big ol' wedding, we're doing it up in San Francisco, our favorite place to vacation, and we're taking only our closest family and friends to celebrate with us!

Anyways, sorry for the long intro, but I can't wait to get started on this site and with the whole wedding planning in general :)!

xoxo

Laly

My husband proposed me to in SF, so it holds a very special place in my heart! Since it's your favorite vacation spot, I am sure you know the city well. But I'll jot down a couple of my favorite SF spots anyway.

Hotel des Arts http://www.sfhoteldesarts.com/

The rooms are small and simple, but clean and have hard wood floors (which I LOVE in a hotel, the carpets gross me out a little). Each room is painted by a local artist, and the art can be pretty funky! The price and location can't be beat. They also include a simple breakfast in the room rate.

Slanted Door http://www.slanteddoor.com/

This is a Vietnamese restaurant that is DELICIOUS! But it's wildly popular, so you'll need to make a reservation FAR in advance.

Le Garage http://www.legaragebistrosausalito.com/

This French restaurant is actually in Sauselito, but it's worth the trip! It's on the marina and has a great view of the water. It's really cute and cozy. I had the lamb and it was AMAZING!

The Farmer's Market at the Ferry Building every Saturday http://www.ferrybuildingmarketplace.com/farmers_market.php

Heaven on earth! There's a stand that serves open faced lox/smoked salmon sandwiches - TO DIE FOR! They won a bunch of awards that are well deserved. When I went there they were all the way in the back, in a corner.

Congrats on picking a location and have fun planning!!!
