I wonder know why so many brides wear pearls on weddings .Is the pearl have a nice meaning?

I'm not sure if the pearls actually have any meaning, but white is purity, cleanliness, and innocence. So maybe that has something to do with it?

The meaning behind them is this: The ancient Greeks associated the pearl with love and marriage.

I am wearing them as my Mother in law offered me the ones she recieved from her grandmother and wore on her wedding day. So she offered them so I could carry on the tradition

I just think there is something elegant and classy about them. They are traditional too. My mother gave me my grandmother's pearls, which was so meaningful.
