The best month to buy a wedding dress (according to Yahoo)

There was an article on Yahoo's homepage today and when to buy certain things. Apparently, wedding dress time is November:

Why: "The dynamic of the wedding industry is that most people get engaged at Christmas, and most people who are planning [a wedding] get distracted by the holidays," says Alan Fields, co-author of "Bridal Bargains." The result: very lonely bridal-shop owners anxious for business. "You have much more negotiating power," says Fields. You could easily save 15% to 25% on your dress or get free alterations (typically a $300 value).

This is GREAT info but I'm not sure that will leave enough time for my dress to come in. I think I'm willing to try it though - plus, gives me a little more time to lose some weight - HA!!!

I think I bought my dress last November (can't remember the time frame for sure though) and I did get a great deal ... but never thought to ask about free alterations. Boo on me for that!

I wasn't planning on looking until after Christmas, maybe I should bring it forward a month or two :-)
