I actually just heard back from Diana about that question ....

She said that it's $25 and they may arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony and must leave 30 minutes after the reception.  She said the same applies for the rehersal dinner.  That makes me feel a lot better because I was hoping to tell some of my guests about some less expensive options for them.

I'm getting married in April 2012 and was really set on booking at PPR but some of these threads I'm reading about them taking you for every penny and changing things up are really starting to worry me.  We were really hoping to stay under 15K for everything and have no clue how many guests to expect, so it makes it so much harder to plan.  It could seriously be anywhere from 50-120 ..... I don't want to get in over my head here ....

Advice from any past or future brides?? :)

Hi Ladies

I'm getting married at PPR in April and was wondering about hair and makeup. For those who had the ladies at the spa do their 'do's' and faces - were you happy with how everything turned out? I know this might sound a little strange but I've never been thrilled with how my hair looks after a stylist has 'done' it. Call it hair stylist trust issues :) All the pictures I've seen in this thread - all you brides...you looked gorgeous! I'm not looking for a structured up-do - more romantic and loose. Thanks for your help, ladies!cheers.gif

I happen to be a bridal hair specialist- I have a few DIY bridal Hair videos and tutorials online. Maybe you want to give those a try or maybe show it to your stylist so that she can recreate that loose unstructured look you are going for. I'm really picky about my hair (I guess thats a given lol) so I know how u feel.

Here are the tutorials...i don't know if they will be of any help to you but good luck! If you have any hair questions or need any guidance feel free to ask. That goes for all of my fellow PPR brides :-)

Have they changed the price again?!?

I have emails, all from Lauren, saying the following (each in a different color):

Off site guests will be charges in one of the following ways.

#1-Less then 20% of your total guest off site and we offer an event pass of up to $25US +tx based upon your chosen romance package

this will allow your guest onto the property 30 minutes before the start of your ceremony and they must leave the property 30 minutes after the finish of your reception.

Guests must check in and leave a piece of photo identification at the front check in.

#2- More then 20% of your total guest count and a regular night pass will be necessary

A night pass will be $120US =Tx and they must leave the property by 12 midnight.

What is the charge for guests staying offsite? The price of the extra in house guest fee of whichever package you chose +30% Is there a limit to the number of offsite guests that we can have? NO but guests not staying at the resort can only come half an hour before the ceremony and must leave half an hour after reception.

Our Resorts do not have an exchange between the 2. If guests stay at
Paradisus Punta Cana they would still have to pay for a $30 outside guest
wedding pass to come to the Resort to attend your wedding. The pass allows
them to come half an hour prior to ceremony and they must leave half an hour
after the reception.
