Adult children upset that "real legal" wedding not in Aruba

I'm glad to hear that everything worked out with your daughters. You totally deserve a stress free day!!! Just happiness and joy! I'm also getting married in Aruba hopefully Oct. 20th as well but next year. I am still undecided as far as the resorts. I am looking into Riu, Westin, Renaissance and the Marriott. What made you decide on the Westin?

So happy your daughters came around already!  The civil ceremony at home is the formality.  The "real" day is the day you put on your dress and walk down that aisle to your man. 

 

I am not the bride-to-be; I am the cousin trying to make sure her day goes smoothly.  Melanie is considering a civil ceremony here to avoid all the extra hoops you have to jump through for a legal ceremony away.

Yay Kathie! I'm so glad thing are back on track. I had no doubt that your wedding day would be spectacular, but I am so happy for you that the planning phase is back to being fun and exciting!

What it comes down to is what makes you happy. My feeling about my destination wedding is if you don't want to come, that's ok! I understand that your situation is different, but honestly, you can't make everyone happy all of the time. Best wishes to you for a beautiful wedding!
