Hello and Congrats!!

This site is wonderful when planning for a destination wedding because you can see pictures of other weddings at your venue, read several reviews on different vendors, and get lots of cool ideas and suggestions along the way. Have you began to look at different venue sites?  Cabo's most popular and main beach (and one of the only swimmable beaches) is Medano beach. If you are hoping for a really private beach ceremony, I would suggest looking into hotels that are not located right on the Medano strip. Are you and your fiance able to make a site visit? I know for me this was not only helpful, but necessary before deciding on a resort and photographer.  (But I am a HUGE planner.)

What have you done so far? And do you have a date and budget in mind? Even early on, those are two things you MUST know before making any decisions.

Mari has wonderful starting off points.

I think the key is

1. Budget.  Make a budget.  Know the budget.  Stick to the budget.  This will help narrow down resorts.

2.  Do you want to get married on the beach or in a gazebo.  Some resorts don't have one of the options, so that'll help

3.  Do you want an outdoor private reception?

4.  Do you want all-inclusive?

5.  Will kids be invited?

6.  Do you want a large resort with a ton of things to do, or a more botique resort for an intimate time?

When you start answering questions like that the list of resorts will get smaller and smaller until you're left with the perfect one for you and your fiance!

Something that helped us make our decision was the proximity of the resort to the downtown/marina.  We definitely knew we wanted to be close to the marina so if guests/we wanted to go out to dinner or go shopping for the day they would not be paying outrageous amounts in taxi fair.  We ended up choosing Riu Palace.  It is a really nice hotel and is also about a 15 minute beach walk or a 5 minute cab drive from the marina.  Other resorts may be a 30 or 45 minute drive to the marina.  Just something to think about.  Hope this helps :)
