I'm glad this thread was started!! Its really nice to see everyone's creativity, they all look great. I'm thinking of doing something like the vase with sand but I would like to buy beach glass or colored rocks in blue (which is one of our colors) to make the pop visually. I havent done a trial-run yet.

Thanks for this post! I just found out that my FI wants to rent the banquet room at the Sandals. And, i am not too sure what the resort does for decorations...if anything. So, now i need to decorate!! Sighs. Simple centerpieces, simple ideas to make the room look nice. (I need to contact the WC and see if they have anything for me to use.) So, keep the ideas coming. I don't think i want to use placecards....but, we will see what else I do.

We were trying to cut costs because flowers are so expensive in Cabo, so we went on a crafty shopping day, and had the same thought with the beach glass inside. We also have sand colored beach glass with seashells around the outside of the big vase. The beach glass and colored candle really makes a difference, if you are looking for some color. We're pretty happy with these. we will put more blue glass and less sand inside.

We found the large and small matching votives at wal-mart. The large one was four dollars, and the small votives were fifty cents.

Here's mine ...the 3 candle holders around the vase shouldn't look like that ... I have been using them for months and the candle melted in the holders .. but you get the idea ...

I brought half of it down in my last visit to Jamaica and left them there ... I am packing and bringing the rest with me in April ...

I am not sure about the mirror and may put it on a lilac/purple satin sheet kind of like the image below and scatter shells on the satin sheet
