I don't think you should have any problems with the noise issue. Just make sure you keep all recipets of what you bring into and from MX incase they ask. I love the idea of these. Thanks for the website will be checking this out

while I think maracas are cute (and ive considered them) I don't think they are worth the money.  they are great bc they represent the culture of the country but when will ppl use them?  I think they're one of the more pricey favors and they will go home with guests to collect dust.

 

a couple years ago my friend got married in mexico and found maraca pens! They were great! super cute and practical.  I still use mine

 

and added bonus...much smaller and easier to pack for the plane
