Inna, thank you so much for all of the feedback.  I have reached out to Del Sol to try to book them for our wedding planned for September 2012.  Can I ask if you had any difficulty dealing with Pedro the group sales manager?  He has been a bit of a nightmare for us, but Cemone our romance specialist has been an absolute delight.

Your locations are exactly what we are planning as well; did you use the Gabi Club for your cocktail hour?

Thanks for any additional information and Congradtlations!

Laurie

HOLA Laurie,

Thanks for connecting with us!   Hopefully we can provide you with all the necessary info we have for planning.   Good luck with the rest of the planning! -matt

Hi Inna,

Congratulations!  You looked amazing and your photos are to die for!   Our wedding is planned at the Paradisus on July 7th (we were actually the first couple to book a wedding at La Esmerelda sight unseen!), so as you can imagine, I am freaking out right about now with only 8 weeks to go.  I have a few questions for you, did you use all of their vendors for flowers, photography, and the DJ?  And if not, was there an outside vendor fee?   I am negotiating with them on the flowers right now, and quite honestly, the pricing is ridiculous!  Our group is about 35 and I, like you, want a private event, was the gazebo included in your package?   Which package did you book?  Did you have a rehearsal dinner on site?  If not, where?   We booked the Aqua package?

Your insight on the Paradisus is such a great help.  Thank you soo much for sharing!  I'm going home to show my fiance your pics..

Thank you.

Laurie -

Thank you so much!  Unfortunately, I cant really address working with Pedro because I didn't have to handle any of that.  I had a travel agent who dealt with the resort and was responsible for working out the logistics and handling any/all negotiations on behalf of myself and all of our wedding guests.  I'm glad to hear that Cemone, your romance specialist has been really helpful.  I'm assuming she's based out of Miami, right?  My planner was Veronica, and she too was amazing.  As were the coordinators on site at the property (Ana Helena and Myrna - whom i'm sure you'll be introduced to shortly).

Re: spaces.  We used the poolside area at La Perla for our cocktail hour before our wedding reception.  The Gabi Club was not available.  Hope i've answered your questions - let me know how else I can help!

P.S.  SOOOO glad you reached out to DelSol -- fingers crossed that you can book them!

First and foremost, congratulations on your impending nuptials on July 7th!  Don't freak out - its going to be AMAZING!!!!

RE: our pics - All kudos go to Matt Adcock and his partner photographer for the day, Jonathan.  They were extraordinary and i'm glad that came across i our pictures!

RE: your questions

I use their vendors for our flowers and DJ equipment only!  We flew in our DJ from NYC (DJ Pushkin) and our photographers were Del Sol Photography (as I wrote about and mentioned above).  There was an outside vendor fee for the photographers but not for the DJ (that's because our DJ was a guest at the property).  Fees for vendors are waved if the 'vendor' is staying on the property as a guest of the wedding.

The gazebo was included in our package - we had the 'Tailor Made' package.  However, the night before the wedding we did a 'Welcome Party' for our guests at the Sunrise Restaurant (poolside at La Esmeralda) and had to pay a fee to privatize that for our event.

Our Rehearsal Dinner was at Vento, one of the restaurants at the property and that was FANTASTIC.  You cannot go wrong with any of the restaurants that you choose to do this at!  And we negotiated they do a 'Family Style' dinner for our Rehearsal Party so that all of our guests at the dinner could get a sampling of all the dishes at the restaurant, as opposed to having to order from the menu, or have to arrange for a set menu (neither of which we wanted).

Hope that answers your questions!?  Feel free to reach back out and let me know if there's anything else I can help with!

Happy Planning!

Hi Connie,

Congratulations!  I can't wait to see and read all  about your wedding experience at Paradisus inm June.  My wedding is scheduled 7/7/2012 and I am still in the planning stages.  I'm sure it will be fantastic.

Inna,

What was the outside vendor fees to get your photographers? I booked Paradisus for my wedding in July and was a bit nervous about Blue Lens Caribe....

Anyone know about Blue Lens?

Also, I have had challenges with the destination wedding company we hired, but Cemone has been great.

We are arriving only the day before our Welcome Party --- when you got there, was there a lot to do or take care of? Or were they pretty well planned?

Any feedback or input would be much appreciated!

Samantha

Inna,

Not sure if my last post went through, but I am having my wedding in Paradisus in July and was wondering what the outside vendor fee was because I am a little hesitant of Blue Lens Caribe.

Also, I am not pleased with my destination wedding planner so was wondering if there was a lot for you to handle when you arrived in Mexico? I am only getting in the day before so I am a bit nervous.  Were they pretty well planned OR did you have to run around organizing or doing things?

Also, does anyone know how the set up looks for Fantasy or Aqua?  Did any of you have those packages?  How was food?

Thanks

Samantha

Hi Inna,

Thank you so much.   I just confirmed our ceremony will be on the bridge leading to the beach and I have booked the Gazebo next to the pool for our reception.  I am bringing my own photographer but will need to use their DJ and florist.  The fees for outside vendors are ridiculous.  We have a Mariachi for the rehearsal dinner and a cigar roller for the cocktail hour.   Keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes according to plan.

Just one more question, I noticed a beautiful rose petal curtain behind your sweetheart table, can you share the cost for that?

Thank you and once again congratulations!

p.s. I too have Veronica and she is wonderful to work with

Hello Paradisus Brides!

Blue Lens Caribe is the official photographer of the New Paradisus Resort in Playa del Carmen.

If you have already booked your holidays there, you will see that it is amazingly located since it's just 5 minutes cab ride to get to the Famous 5th Avenue of Playa del Carmen and also that the resort is just perfect for unforgatable holidays in the Riviera Maya.

Blue Lens Caribe wanted to share some of the pictures of our last wedding in this incredibly romantic resort... so Enjoy....

Also we invit you to visit our blog to discover more pictures of our Paradisus weddings http://bluelenscaribe.com/blc/photo-gallery/weddings/rosie-and-michael-wedding-paradisus-playa-del-carmen/#comment-903
