Those are really cute!!! i was thinking about doing Luggage tags, but i don't want to have to mail out even more to everyone before the trip as i have already sent out brochures and such hehehe, if i was thinking better though i would have sent it all out at the same time, and sent them luggage tags too! lol..

I know there are tonnes of Etsy sellers that make them as well if you are looking for a lower price point!  Just not sure which materials they use.

Also, thanks for the tip about the scented candle holders at Homesense, I might check that out!  I am going to design some luminaries to go over battery operated tealights so I will post when I have done those.  I have a looooong list.  Today I am working on completing luggage tags!IMG_3366.JPG

Hey Ladies,

I got all excited and was going to order white lanterns, starfish charms, starfish, peacock feathers, some wrist coils and some luggage tags... my order came to $46, then with shipping and tax was about $56.00.  however THEN it took me to some duty free shipping site that charged me an additional $25.24 for shipping.  Any ideas about this apparent double shipping cost?  Does not seem worth it to me to pay $80 for my $45 order.....

Did you all notice this?

I am wondering if I should wait and just order everything I need from OT at once... because thats a pretty hefty shipping charge.  Isnt it?

Holly,

I really like your luggage tags. Do you do them in Vistaprint? I am still trying to figure out how people are doing the front and back by using Vistaprint. We're thinking of getting them done at staples but designing it ourselves. Can you tell me how you did them? We're going to do a photo on one side and info on back...likely glue them together.

Thanks!

I wanted coral too. The only coral I have seen is fake coral at home sense. Silly question what are Shell Bouts?

I am making my table centerpieces with some curly fake willow that is sparkly and looks a bit like coral. Once I am happy with my result I will post it.

I'm thinking about adding it to my DIY Shell Bouts, that is if I can find any :)

Hi Ladies,

Since we are all sick of Oot bagging...or should I say spending money on oot bags, I think it is time we think about what we are going to where at our DW's.

I know we have mentioned Beyond the Rack but I thought I would include the link, starting on Sunday, the 14th, quite a few stores are having sales on dresses! Although I haven't bought anything from Beyond the Rack yet, I know you have to get on and buy early as the sale doesn't go on all day and once items are sold out, the sale is done.

Here is the link.

Shell Boutonnieres, They are also a work in progrss :)

My very first DIY project ever! I got out my hand-me-down glue gun and started playing around last night. Not sure if I love them yet. I'm going to keep playing around.

FYI, I don't have a colour scheme, The girls are wearing tropical red so I included Red Feathers for the guys, but again not sold on it. I really don't want it to look tacky!

I'm going to Michaels today to see what I can find!

If you order from the US and use USPS (regular US mail service) most of the time you don't pay duty free... but if it's a big order and use UPS, Fedex etc you probably will...

I know that you can use a PO box in the US but they do charge you to ship it back to you...

Hi J and G,

I have an idea that you may like, I have seen beautiful shells that were pearlized on one of the threads on here. I bought metallic champagne paint from Michael's and painted long and thing twisted shells that had texture on them. I will include a few photos so you can see. These are Dollarama shells, they are nice natural too but they look nice painted. Just an idea. Also, if you go into the plant section, they have feather pics with more natural feathers, peacock feathers may look nice with the blue and purple shells. Again just ideas. :)

The spiky things are Christmas decorations and come in quite a few different colors. One of two short ones may look nice with or instead of a feather...idea.
