Get stationery matching your colors and have a box or basket by the sign in table. SEND A LITTLE ADVISE OR GOOD WISHES TO THE NEW COUPLE. Place in box and read when you get home. They are hilarious.

Ribbon cut in long strips. Guest will sign a good wish and tie on the alter. Or anything else you choose to place them. GOOD WISHES

Everyone is handed a candle w/ a leaf or card at the base for protection of spillage and with the unity candle they light their candle and hold during a certain part of the ceremony. Your groomsmen could help them light it. So its a unity of the group coming together.

If you arent going to carry flowers. How about a cross or a bible.

Hang seashells from fishing wire down from the top of the bamboo alter

Add little vignettes around the beach for photo shoots or interesting sitting areas. i.e : piles of seashells with color blown glass ball and a fishing net, little sand castles now put candles around it for drama and lighting when the sun goes down

How about some lighting in the trees: There are lights that will circle like a ferriswheel or shoot lights all around the dance floor to give it a fun feel at night. Or even lights that are your color scheme put into lights around the area.

On a budget: Silks are made now that look like the real thing. Bouquets and boutonnieres can be made to duplicate that gorgeous but expensive bouquet.

Trash the Dress Photos are becoming very popular and fun to do.

Long family style table seating is a fun way to make everyone feel apart of the conversation. While your there put up a bamboo canopy w/ an overhang at the top and light the table with lots of votic candles down the long tables. Fabulous

Slideshows are a Hit

When you have the opportunity to change the setting from ceremony, to drinks, to dinner and dance do so. It helps keep the guests interested.

Ask a friend who sings or does a special entertainment to do it for your guests. It'll be fun for them and the others.

Take 15 mins alone with your new husband. Run to another room and give kisses and hugs. Its the only time at this moment you get this type of moment. Mr. and Mrs. go give a quick I love you and kiss before you start the evening off. Just the 2 of you! And don't tell anyone you are doing it...makes for more fun.

Give your input...I know you have a lot of good stuff to share with us.smile159.gif

I just got back from a wedding in Maine that did something similar...they set up a little photo booth area, but the difference was that the camera was on a tripod and they had a cord that stretched to the photo area so all you had to do was step on the end and the picture would take. It was great because you could take the picture yourself...no one had to be behind the camera the whole time...at first it was mostly couples going over and taking picture together but as the night went on everyone got a little more drunk and goofy, it made for some really funny pictures!

Here are my ideas:

If you're doing favors, it would be a really nice and personal touch to hand them out while visiting with guests and thanking each one for attending. I thought this could also work while serving the cake, but not everyone will have a piece.

One thing I really want to do is have picture with each couple/family/individual attending out wedding and reception, then send it to them with thank you note. Makes it more personal than just a picture of you and your new hubby. Also, I think everyone would appreciate having a picture of themselves all dressed up.
