Moon Palace Or Dreams Cancun - Newbie and Nervous

Has anyone stayed at the palace resorts? I really like the luxury of being able to dine at all the resorts and I thought the grounds were beautiful. However, I am now drawn to Dreams Cancun and I am wondering if anyone has stayed at both resorts and can give me perks/cons.  In one review I read the rooms are outdated in Dreams, is that true? I really would like to have the total package for my wedding

Hi there,  congratulations and welcome to the forum.  Dreams resorts have a very good reputation in the Mayan Riviera for destination weddings.  However the opinion of the bride's experience is very important and holds a lot of weight when making your final decision.  Not too long ago I photographed a wedding in Dreams Cancun and I will include the link to give you an idea of the surroundings.

There are lots of great choices in the Mayan Riviera for resorts.  If one doesn't feel right then research another and you will find the perfect spot.

Warmest wishes,

Lori

Congratulations Miss Sanders and welcome to the forums!  I have been to both Dreams and Moon Palace many times and there are good and bad sides to both. I hate talking about the bad... haha... so let me give you some of the good.

Dreams:

Location is the furthest from the airport... about 1.5hr drive

Resort size is small... which is fantastic for getting around and seeing guests.

Wedding site is amazing... great views and semi private

Some rooms are out dated... some are new!

I love shooting weddings here... so many picturesque places and nooks

They allow outside vendors and now offer a no-fee option. but we still prefer you buy us a $45 day pass so we can enjoy a drink and possible a meal if need be.

Moon Palace:

Location is close to the airport... about 25 minute drive

Resort is a lot bigger and kinda confusing... but Im sure after a week you''ll figure it out

Wedding sites are in Gazebos... so can be private. Also a nice beach location with is semi private

Rooms are both modern and dated as well... but you'll find something really nice!

Resort offers a lot less for picture variety... but thats our job to get the best for you! haha

They say they don't allow outside vendors so you must get us on as your "guest". The will allow a guest to shoot your wedding. If you can get a day pass it is $100/person (I shoot with an assistant) or they might require a night stay which is the case most of the time.

If you have any specific questions ... please send me an email!

Lincoln
