 Hello,

I am new and I am planning a wedding for October. I originally wanted to get married this October but that didnt work out to well. So my new date is April 2012. I originally wanted to get married at one of the palace resorts since I stayed at the sun palace with my finance two years ago and fell in love. We want children in our wedding so we need a resort that welcomes kids and I thought the Beach Palace seems very nice and if we wanted some alone adult time we could always visit one of the other resorts.

Well now after visiting this website I see alot of brides like Dreams Cancun Resort and Spa.  Does anyone have any advise or has stayed at both resorts?

Hi there,  congratulations and welcome to the forum!!  Dreams resorts have a very good reputation in the Mayan Riviera for destination weddings.  However I would review the opinions of other bride's experience for more detailed information.   Not too long ago I photographed a wedding in Dreams Cancun and I will include the link to give you an idea of the surroundings.

There are lots of great choices in the Mayan Riviera for resorts.  If one doesn't feel right then research another and you will find the perfect spot.

Warmest wishes,

Lori

I found our TA was extremely helpful in comparing resorts and ultimately helping us chose our resort.  She was able to make a handy chart we could compare each resort for certain aspects, such as size, amenities, wedding packaes ect.  I suppose you could always do this yourself to have an easy comparison tool.  Happy planning!

Congratulations and welcome to the forums! There are so many resort options here that will accommodatechildren so you should find something great!

Here is a small family wedding I shot at Moon Palace which was on your list of options. Great resort with some fun shots!

Please email me if you have any questions about the resorts.

There are many pluses and minues to them all, so it will depend on what you and your FI are looking for!  May I suggest that you have all 3 send you information, pricing etc.  and begin to compile your positive and negatives.  On this forum you can find brides that has had weddings at all 3 resorts, find pictures and reviews as well. TripAdvisor could be a help as well.

Somethings that I took into account was not wanting my elders to have to endure more than an 1/2 trip from any airport especially after they would have flown for 3 hours.  I looked at cost which is a bigger factory in today's economy, activities for those that may want to get off as well as those that would only stay on the resort and the ease of transportation to and from.  Also the benefits that FI and I would receive by bringing a group of people to the resort that otherwise would not have come.

Hope this help
