If so, when will you play it?  During the reception? What if you're just using a dinner reservation?  Where could you put the slideshow then?

We aren't having a slideshow, its just going to cost us to much money to rent all the equiptment, plus all our guests coming are family or really close friends so they have seen a lot of our pictures anyways.  I think if you do have a slideshow you could do it after the dinner.
