did anyone hear back from riu Montego Bay? Christina told me if they were like a fire work they were not aloud i forwarded her info on them and have not yet heard a reply. Really hoping we can release these on the beach at the end of our reception!

We're doing this for our wedding in the Dominican Republic @ Dreams La Romana - actually we're doing it for the welcome party as a fun activity for everyone - we're also having people write wishes on them.

 

I asked my wedding coordinator at the resort to make sure it was okay - you should ask them, since each resort is different when it comes to these things.

Congratulations to you both, are the pics of your wedding if so it looks amazing, my fiance and I marry at dreams punta cana jan 11th next year and i am planning on taking a load of these lanterns with us, did u have any problems with them Trace.

Just a heads up most resorts won't allow them due to being a fire hazard. We are letting them off at or own private beach probably the night before since our resort doesn't allow them.

I plan on releasing sky lanterns on the beach after our reception!!  Does anyone know if there are any restrictions in St. Thomas??  Our wedding is at the Marriott.. I guess I'll e-mail our coordinator & ask.

We are doing these at Las Caletas.  They look amazing in pictures.  Where is the best place to get them from? Any Ideas?

This is a long thread, but if you read back through it, there are tons of website for ordering ideas. It seems that most brides like the environmentally friendly ones that are made out of bamboo. That website is on here too.
