Centerpieces for long table

Does anybody have pictures or ideas of centerpieces for a long table? Especially for not so wide tables?

I'm wondering about this too.. My wedding will also have long rectangle tables. I think I'm going to have a main centerpiece (not sure what yet) with votive candles and flower petals along the length of the table.

I am doing something similar to this:

 

I made the centerpieces using 5x7 photo mats and printed the pics on vellum then used masking tape to tape them to the inside of the mats and tape the mat sides together.  They will travel nice and flat and then at the resort we will put them together as the triangles.  I'm not having flowers like in this pic, but I am having orange and pink table runners, then the photo centerpieces, votive candles, and a few loose orchids scattered around the table.

mekanabr, i really like the idea of incorporatng photos...very nice job..can't wait to see pics...

 

i've opted out of flowers on our tables.  since my theme is starfish and shells i'm incorporating sea shells and starfish along with luminaires down our table... here's a sneak-peak at the tablescape mock-up.
