I would love to get a budget sheet from someone :D ashleyg280@@gmail.com

Has anyone had their reception or cocktail hour in the preferred pool area? If so I would love to see photos!

What outside photographers have people used and do you recommend them?

Also would love to hear about peoples experience with the StylingTrio for hair and makeup? Is it worth the money and how much is the outside vendor fee?

Thank you!

@@JaxBchKay did you have to pay for an outside vendor fee to use The Styling Trio? If so how much? I have read really great things about them and would love to use them for my hair and makeup!

Sorry for the late response, it's been crazy at work since we got back :)   I didn't not have to pay an outside vendor fee but only because they couldn't guarantee me that the makeup used at the salon at the resort would be completely latex free - and the facility as well.  I am highly sensitive to latex and my MOH is severely allergic.  If it wasn't for that I would have had to pay the fee.

I used Dean Sanderson for my photographer and we LOVED him!  I also used Wisteria Wedding Films for my videography and those ladies are really amazing.

I will tell you for the Styling Trio - if I could bring them home with me I would.  They are miracle workers.  Everyone they did for my group looked absolutely perfect.  My MOH wanted a tropical look with some blues and greens (I was worried)  but the finished product was stunning.  My teenage daughter saw me after my trial and said I looked like "Mom 2.0 - you but better".  I can't say enough good things about them.  It was also nice to have them come to my room to do everything - my friends were able to come and relax and socialize with me and we had mimosas and room service which put me at ease.  They came out 3 times - once for the trial, once for the wedding and once to do my Trash The Dress makeup.  I think the standard outside vendor fee applies of $300 but check with your wedding coordinator.  I would say they are still worth it and would have happily paid the vendor fee to be able to use them.

I also sent you the budget sheet I made - in the end the number I came up with on mine was really close to the Final from Juan Carlos.

Here are some of the pics from our Welcome Cocktail Party - These were taken by the resort photographer Anna.  Out of the 120ish pictures they showed me - these were the best ones.  They are nice but I'm glad I used someone else for the wedding.

For those who chose tequila terrace for your reception, did/are you having the cocktail hour here as well? I'm just wondering what happens during the transition from cocktail hour to dinner time if it's in the same location, where do guests go after cocktail hour while they set up for dinner?

Assuming that you don't have a gigantic guest list attending the wedding....  The terrace is quite large.  The cocktail hour is set up on one side of the terrace (which will then become the "dancing" part of the reception after dinner.  The tables are all set up on the other side of the terrace.  It all flows seamlessly from the cocktail hour to the reception.  Your WC will also help keep people on track so that dinner starts on time, etc.

ok, that makes sense. Do they use those little round, tall tables for the cocktail hour? If so, do they keep them there for use during the reception too, or get rid of them after cocktail hour is finished? Thanks.

Hi Ladies!

I'm getting excited for my wedding 6-2-15 at Now Sapphire! We chose the divine package at the resort and it includes all of the basics like food, alcohol, cake, some flowers, the beach ceremony setup, and a small photography package.  Overall, it seems that the wedding will be the most bang for my buck-which is what I'm all about.

I have also been ordering a few small things to take with me to cut down on added costs while I'm there (Table runners, Chair Bows, Lanterns).  When I compared the pricing, it was a no brainer to bring my own and the wedding coordinator will still set it up- some at an additional cost.

A few other extras-

We did chose to hire a DJ.  However, because of the outside vendor fee, we decided to stay in-house. We also hired a photographer.  After weeks of scrolling through reviews and websites, and requesting quotes I finally came across Octavio Montes Photography.  www.OctavioMontes.com His pricing was very straight forward and responded to my questions and concerns quickly.  He even offers 10% off for brides.  This was a no brainer for me.  The resort wanted an absurd amount for less services & the resort anly charges a day pass for the photographer.

I will post again after the wedding with pictures and more reviews.  I just wanted to try to be helpful since I was on this site trolling for any new posts up until now.  Good Luck!

Yes the little tall tables were used for the cocktail hour.  I just looked at some pictures from our reception and the tables were still there after the dinner during the reception.

Let me know if you have any other questions.  Helping all future brides keeps our wedding (and all the amazing memories) current in my mind.  It was such a fantastic day!
