What bridesmaid dress to choose?

I'll be a bridesmaid later this year, and we're getting to the dress stage now. The place that we were going to get the dresses from has the cheapest at $280. We're paying for our own dresses, and that is relly expensive for me, as I'm a single mother. So, I was looking for alternatives to bridal shops that sell really nice formal wear one could wear as a bridesmaid.

I love karen millen, and have seen some nice formal dresses in there sometimes. I actually recently purchased an evening dress from there, reduced from Euro160 to Euro90, so that's my kind of shop , but now my headache is which bridesmard dress to choose , i found a website : www.karenmillen-coats.com , but do not know which dress can select as bridesmaid dress , could you give me some suggestion?
