Trash the Dress....yes or no???

You will need to dry clean in between trashing it and wearing it for your AHR. I've heard of brides doing it locally before they return home and it is MUCH cheaper. It will probably be really dirty after your AHR as well, you'd be surprised how black the bottom will get after being dragged on the ground.

definetly yeees!!.. we made hair and make up of tjis session, and my sister @delsolphotography took the pictures.. and we had so much fun!.. but also de bride as you can see!! and you can have such a beautiful memories with this kind of pictures..

For people who have done trash the dress sessions, how do you dry it before you have to bring it back home on the airplane?  I would be worried that the dress would still not be dry when trying to pack it and carry it on the plane.  Just wondering what some people's experiences have been.  Thanks

My dress dried in a day- just hang it outside over the balcony of your room- the warm weather and sun will dry it out no problem!

Congratulations on your engagement ladies! I actually have a bride who bought an additional dress for the Trash your Dress shoot, doesn't have to be expensive but at least you won't feel so bad when your trash it, AND you'll have 2 dresses to take pictures in!

Hello all you fine forum folks! We've had some fantastic "trash the dress" shoots lately and I just wanted to share some photos with you all. I also wanted to restate that it doesn't have to be a "trash" the dress, when we're in cenotes it's often more like a "rinse" the dress, the cenotes are fresh water and do little or no damage! At Del Sol, we know that your dress has a lot of meaning to you and we will go as far as you like or as gentle as you wish, if you end up just wanting photos around the jungle and cenote without actually getting in the water, that is totally cool! Many of our brides do bring a second dress, you can buy them second-hand, have them made to look like your designer gown or go with something completely out there. Some brides brought multiple dresses to wear, not just their wedding gown, we have such fun with bright colors too! This is about creativity, freedom and expressing yourself with your partner in an awesome shoot you will always remember! We've never had a bride express regrets, only joy at a fun day and photos they treasure.

Do the dresses ever actually get wrecked in the water? I have heard varying reports. I know that some girls go all out and actually trash the dress, and some do not... can you be in the ocean or cenotes and "accidentally" trash the dress? Does that happen?

I want to wear my own dress... but was also planning on wearing it to my AHR a month after!

So glad you like the photos, thanks for the kind feedback! Most brides do not "totally trash" the dress, they get wet and if it's a beach shoot, they get sandy, but nothing that can't be washed out. Very very rarely do accidents happen, but when dealing with nature, sometimes you just can't predict it, a hem caught on a rock for instance, nobody can guarantee that the dress will come out unscathed, but it's generally the case that everything is all right.
