Hi MrsWeiss!

I am glad you brought this up, as I am about to send out my invites and have been trying to figure out exactly how to handle RSVP's and deadlines. Obviously with the nature of a DW things are a little different and it is hard to put demands on people already sacrificing so much to come, but at what point do you get to say it's "too late".Not that you want to necessarily turn anyone away, nor can you prevent them from "booking a vacation", but how are you supposed to plan events and budget accordingly if there is never a cut off? I would assume that as you get closer the likelihood of a major fluctuation gets slimmer, but when people are still saying they are coming verbally, but no deposit is down it makes it difficult. How are you handling this? Thanks for any input and congrats on your fast approaching day!!

so, we've been pretty trusting.  If our guests say they are coming, we're planning for them to be there.

There's about 3-5 guests that have given me the old "we just need a couple more weeks to decide".  For these guests, I'm giving them 2 weeks (not pestering in the meanwhile) and if I don't hear from them, they'll be crossed off.

As for the remaining 10-14 guests who we're tracking down, I'm really sad about the fact that haven't given our wedding the respect that it deserves.  I'm shocked by a few of them.  But then at the end of the day, as long as my FI is waiting for me at the end of the aisle, that's what's important.

We're fortunate to have 60 guests already confirmed so those extra 20 or so guests will be just icing on the cake :)

These are gorgeous!! Since we will know if our guests are going or not by the time we send our formal invites, we were thinking of including more travel/schedule details, what to pack, etc.    Has anyone else done this?

Just wanted to share my beautiful Passport Invitations!  After sending our Message in a Bottle Save the Dates, we knew we couldn't just send our the usual card stock invites.

So, I found a designer on Etsy.com.  We customized everything and it took about 8 weeks to finalize the invites.  I think after everything (including rhinestones, envelops, rsvp's and addressing) they cost about $500 for 70 of them.  The invites are light so postage was only $0.44 and the rsvp postcard was only $0.29.

Here are the pictures!
