hi Tori, 

I was thinking about giving them to everyone at the airport, however i was thinking that might not be a good idea with all of the first aid kits ( needles and aloe get etc....) so i am thinking i MAY just hand out the travel books at the airport, and maybe make our own suduko and puzzle/welcome  book, and give those to everyone for the plane, so they can do those on the plane if they like, and then give the bags to them once we get to Jamaica... i am not too sure yet heheh..

We are getting married in Jamaica, February 23rd, 2012.. so i know this is far in advance, but being from Canada, alot of our things have to be ordered online as i couldn't seem to find alot of things pertaining to destination weddings here. That and knowing that Canada post was going to be going on strike, i wanted to get this stuff before they did so i didn't have to stress about how i would get a lot of this stuff... 

 

These are our Bottle openers, travel sewing kits and chap sticks. We got them from littlethingsfavors.com They are pretty cute. They come blank, with the pre printed labels and then you just have to stick them all on yourself. 

 

 

Here is the back of the bottle openers. I chose these ones because they had the two different types of opening the bottle, and they have a little magnet on them so you can put them on the fridge

 

 

the black and white canvas bag in the back is what we chose for the actual OOT bag. We got those from oriental Trading. and the small box is a silver starfish bookmark. 

 

The clear pouch is what we chose for the waterproof wallets. we ordered the wrist coils from oriental trading, and the lanyards we bought a huge bag of various colors. we decided to include a lanyard and a wrist coil, so they could choose how they would like to keep them I will be making little cards to put in the pouches.

 

We also have beach balls that we got from Oriental trading that we are also putting in the bags that i don't have a picture of just yet. I will be making little welcome booklets to put in the front pocket of the canvas bag but i am not sure what they are going to look like yet..

 

I am still looking at putting together some survival kits, and first aid kits etc.. based on alot of other ideas from brides on here, but i am still in search of ones that will be affordable. I have 40 OOT bags, as we will have 35-40 guests.. so i am trying to keep it as affordable as possible.

im getting the same bags as you, but in the navy blue....what do you think of them????? i dont want to order just one..find out i love it then go to order more and there all sold out lol lol

I really like them!! They are perfect size, not too big, not too small.. and they are perfect! they have a small pocket on the front which is nice, we are putting in a rack card on the front of each in the pocket.. I wanted to go for the blue, as they would have matched our wedding more, however my FI didn't want them as he wanted the black ones ( who knows why! but i let him have that one hehehe) You won't be disappointed

Yeah, my Gf got them for me, and when my mom came for a visit...she brought them down with her, and although i love them.....i just dont think there going to work for OOT bags....but what I might do is put one of the mesh bags in the OOT bags, this way they all have a smaller easier bag!

 

Plus with me changing our colour theme lmao the mesh ones didnt really go with it anymore...this way I get navy blue witch will go...and they seem a little better for all my crap that im putting in them lol lol

 

I ended up getting them for $1.25 a piece and over all ended up spending $90.00 at oriental trading and getting:

tote bags

luggage tags

silver star fish jewels(for the luggage tags)

facial tissue (with a sea shell theme) going to put our stickers on bottom(tears of joy ETC)

coils

peacock feathers

tropical notepads

thank you gift tags...for my OOT bags(kins like name tags)

star fish (for dinner reception name tags)

 

I think thats it lol (wont mike be happy when I tell him i bough more bags lol lol)

OMG you got a TON of stuff from OT for so cheap!!!! i will have to check out the starfish you got for your placecards, I am looking for some but they are all so expensive!!!!!!

 

I never saw navy bags on OT just royal blue! Can you post the link for the navy ones?!  

 

PS. I will do your doorhangers today, sorry I'm a bad friend lol I have been away for the last little while and just didn't have the time
