Is Pictures in Cancun the same studio as Photos in Cancun?  I am looking into them as well since their prices are much cheaper than Del Sol.  Do you have to pay an outside vendor fee for them?  I know with Del Sol I would only have to pay for two day passes but with Photos in Cancun I am afraid the fee with make it not worth it.  Are you doing all day coverage?  Thanks!

Hello Ladies,

We just returned from our wedding on July 7th. Everything was perfect and we could not have picked a better place. Diana our wedding coordinator did a fantastic job. We are leaving for our honeymoon in Turkey and Greece for 3 weeks but will be sure to post a review upon our return. If anyone has any quick questions we will gladly answer them over the next two days. Do not second guess your decision Le Blanc is #1 on tripadvisor for a reason. All of our family and friends have not stopped calling to tell us what an amazing time they had and all want to join us for our 1 year anniversary. We got married at the gazebo at 6pm and had our cocktail hour on the Blanc terrace and our reception in the ballroom. We had a total of 32 guests.

We also treated 20 of our guests to a night out at cocobongos in the gold member section. If you are interested in going, look into this package, we had a private area upstairs away from the crowd and an excellent view of the show.

Jetsettin bride have a blast this weekend it will be everything that you wish for.

Margot - wow, so great to hear your review!! How was the weather?  I learned in February that checking the weather apps were not accurate, but now it is making me nervous.  Did you get any rain?

My wedding is Friday (20th) at 6pm in the Gazebo too and I have Diana - glad to hear everything went smoothly!

Hello,

According to the weather one week prior it was supposed to rain 60% everyday for the whole week we were there. As we got closer to our departure date the percentage went down in between 40 - 50%. We had gorgeous weather everyday! The days were warm and the nights were cool and breezy. It rained early in the morning on the day of the wedding for around an hour or two and cleared up quickly. The rain actually helped make a beautiful night sky and the pictures on the terrace came out great. I wouldn't stress over the 7 day and 10 day forecasts. It's Cancun so I think even if it does rain, it's usually for just a few hours and then clears up. There wasn't a cloud in the sky on days that still had 40-50% chance of rain. Diana was amazing! I am a bit of a procrastinator and she pulled everything together perfectly. Don't worry...  you are going to have an amazing day!!

Margot,

Congratulations on your wedding and I am happy everything worked out great for you. We are getting married on 12-12-12. We are thinking of either the Signature Collection or to customize. I wanted to add some color plus I don't like the barley decor at the ceremony.

Also, I am not sure about the gold chairs or charge plates and also the pictures don't like nice for the table runners. What did you do for yours?

What locations did you have your cocktail party and reception? We were thinking of having the cocktail party by the gazebo and the reception upstairs on the terrace but we were told then we can see the cocktail setup in the pictures so now I am thinking of having cocktails/reception both on the terrace.

Did you use the in house DJ? How was it? Did you the buffet or seat down? If buffet which station and how was it?

Thank you for taking the time and can't wait to see your pictures.

Have a great honeymoon!!!

I'm so excited :)

Amber- we decided to use Pictures in Cancun , Derek and Lorena

We loved their work and spoke to them on the phone several times... They really sound great

And reasonably priced for all day shooting.

Also they will let you change details like colors but in case there's an extra charge they will always tell you

Like if they have to go outside to get the color you want of something

I was changed from Sandra to Angelica

She's very on top of everything and very nice

Lau- that's so good to hear that everything went so well :)

I cant wait!!

Jaclyn,

Congratulations and sounds like you had a great wedding. So you changed the colors for the decor? Did you customize the package or use one of the packages they offer? Do you have any pictures?

Hi. We did the signature package. We were able to change the colors at the ceremony. I have to mention that all of the flowers they use at the ceremony are silk. I was horrified when I walked down the aisle and saw silk flowers, as I was not aware of this. We also were not fond of the straw and changed it to to tall vases with aqua water with orchids to match our colors. We were also able to change the charger plates from gold to silver for the ceremony free of charge. I paid extra to have silver Tiffany chairs at the reception but they were worth it! They looked amazing! The chairs at the ceremony can be white or gold. We had our cocktail hour at the terrace and it was perfect. The sunset was amazing! I would definitely recommend that you do your reception or cocktail hour there if that is one of the areas you are considering. We had our reception in the ballroom. We wanted our guests to comfortably dance and were afraid of the heat outside. We were also told that all outdoor functions had to end earlier and wanted to party til as late as possible. We used an outside vendor for the dj and he wasn't that great. We never got him a playlist but were pretty specific about the kinds of music we wanted him to play when we met him. I just felt like dinner took a while and the real party music didn't get started til later than I would have liked, although I am not sure this was his fault. We had a sit down dinner during our reception that was amazing! It was honestly one of the best meals I had at the resort. We had a buffet style rehearsal dinner on the terrace outside of the blanc stage bar the night before the wedding and the food was great... The buffet options are endless and it was a little overwhelming to decide. The chef was very helpful when it came to deciding on both menus. We had a tasting the Thursday before our Saturday wedding. I kind of agree about the cocktail hour by the gazebo. The set up will show in pictures of the ceremony and the tables will be in the way as u walk down the aisle. Are you opposed to having the cocktail hour and reception in the same area? Maybe you can have your cocktail hour on one terrace and the reception at the other? They are on the same floor and only a couple of feet away from each other? Are you having a lot of people? We had the cocktail hour set up with lounge furniture and some high and low tables with seating. Maybe you can have part of the terrace set up for cocktail hour and the rest set up for the dinner? We were in cancun last February and the nights were pretty cool so I don't think you will have to worry about the heat. We worried and it was really breezy and comfortable on the terraces during our cocktail hour and rehearsal. Although I'm not sure the terrace would have worked after all of the drinking and dancing we did during the reception. Please let me know if you have any other questions. I honestly wish I was able to ask before we left. I would have been much more relaxed the day we arrived. Happy planning :-) Margot

Margot - SO happy to hear your review on the weather, I will not worry until I get down there and look at the sky everyday to see what it will be like, not trusting my weather app which now just says RAIN RAIN RAIN.

To those asking - everything is customizable (for a price!).  I got the complimentary package and did all my upgrades from there - white cushioned chairs, flowers I wanted for the table (make sure you specify EVERYTHING you want for the ceremony or you will end up with some weird flowers or vases you dont want, so I hear, because they are included).

For the reception we did the same chairs, but added sashes to them in tiffany blue.  also did tiffany blue table runners - everything else i used the white linens.  The centerpieces are also customizable, you just have to specify with Zuniga (the company they used for mine) what you want - I sent lots of pictures of what I wanted it to look like, hopefully it will come out like I imagine!
