2012 Le Blanc Brides

Hi Ladies,

 

I hope that I am replying properly to the post.  I just booked my June 23, 2012 wedding at LeBlanc yesterday and I am sooo EXCITED!  I haven't done a site visit yet, but as much as I've traveled I knew Le Blanc Spa Resort was the place for us.  I read the Trip Advisor reviews and my travel agent recommended the location, so I was on board.  I am sure that we will visit the property before year end, but right now we're actually headed on a few other sites visits that I could not cancel.  I wish I had found Le Blanc months ago.  

 

My friends and family have been stressing us for wedding details, so I am eagerly waiting our contract.  

 

Yesterday, we found a fabulous photographer named Elizabeth Medina.  Has anyone heard of her or used her to give an idea of price rates?  What packages did youguys book and do you know if we are able to jazz up our design a little bit more than what the resort is doing?  FYI - I am a graphic and interior designer so if any of you have questions in those areas, feel free to ask.

Are you able to pass along any information on photographers that are on the vendor list?  I haven't received my formal contract or vendor list from Yesenia yet.

Hi we are planning to get married in Le Blanc in May 2012.  Anyone knows if we can negotiate the rate with Le Blanc travel agent (we are talking to Yesenia).   What will be the difference of going to Wendy and Yesenia?  Any of you have Wendy's phone number?   Thank you so much for sharing the information here.  Thanks -

Hey lolanikki!!! Do you mind PM me the PRICE LIST for DEL SOL??? I am getting married at Sun Palace in December and would like to use them for my photography. I have emailed them but no specific reply. I have filled out surveys but nothing on pricing. I really would appreciatre it.

Oh, I'm not into paying a ton for a wedding especially since I want to do the "Trash the Dress' session and I found a website that I'm going to order my top 3 wedding gowns at least than $250 each! I'm going to sell the ones I don't like on craigslist.

 

I feel like I'm not making any progress, but from reading my post it appears that I have a lot of info! mmmm!

Thanks for the information on TA. TA provided me the group quote, however it was a little higher than what Yesenia offered. I am finding it strange, cause I thought TA's group rate is suppose to be better.  Anyways I am contacting Yesenia again to confirm her price based on the number of rooms we have.  

 

About the photographers, I thought we can pay for the photographer options based on Le Blanc's price list, are all the photographers the same rate or they charge differently? 

 

Also I will appreciate if you guys can tell me which wedding package you pick.  Since we only got 20 - 21 people, we thought we should go with the Zen Garden package, but we really don't like the bamboo theme for our reception....  we'd like to have a more contemporary style.  So for Zen garden, do they give us option for the decoration? The reason why I ask is that I looked at many photographer's Le Blanc wedding photos, and they all seem to have different decoration for reception, such as different color theme and flower arrangement.  For Zen Garden package, can we pick our own style?

Lolanikki -- I feel the same way about the down payments!!!   Everything is soo expensive

That really concerns me that the DJ doesntt need a song list !!  Music is so important to us ! 

 

RL--I would ask the TA why the rates were higher than the ones that Yesenia gave you

Check with the TA to see if transfers were included in the rate you were quoted. My rates were slightly lower, five dollars or so but the rate included the round-trip transfers.

 

As far as the photos, the wedding packages include Palace Resort photographers, if you want a different photographer, that photographer has to be on the "approved vendor" list and you have to purchase a day pass.

 

I'm strongly considering getting the free wedding packages and just paying seperately for additional options.
