for today's planning post, i'll be sharing my latest DIY project, my bachelorette breakfast invite.  here's some background, in lieu of having a bridal shower and/or a bachelorette party, i'm having breakfast with my female guests..most of my family and friends still live back East so this is an opportunity for them to have private time with me during the wedding weekend and if they'd like, shower me with gifts...although, gifts aren't expected, they are appreciated.  msnwink.gif

the breakfast will 'look, feel and sound' like a shower hosted by my sister and my two daughters.  we'll play games, there will be cute prizes and i hope moments of words of wisdom from my friends and family.  so, i wanted to do a really nice invite for the breakfast...here's what i've come up with.

the invitation will be mailed separately to my female guests.

brides, that's it for today's post, until next time, happy planning!!!  cheesy.gif

Oh My Goodness!!! I love all of your posts!! Your story made me tear up a bit. I love hearing total surprise engagement stories and it makes it so much more wonderful that your daughter was involved. (My story is similar including my daughter and mom being in on the whole deal.) All of your projects are gorgeous! Can you come to Texas and lend this girl a hand?! Ha! I'm certain your wedding is just going to be wonderful!!

Futuremrstgun! Your DIY items are amazing!! You should set up an account on etsy ( once your wedding is over) .. if it isn't done already!!! I have a question for you since you seem to be pretty knowledge savvy on DIY! I bought bags that can not be used for iron on transfers .. ( they melt .. I know should have looked that up beforehand) ... do you have any ideas for me .. so that I can get my darn logo onto the bags???

Thanks Michèle

Why not print off lovely tags with your logos and attach them to each bag, that way guests can enjoy and appreciate your wedding logo while still being able to use the bag after as it is not plastered with your wedding stuff.  This is what we opted to do and think our guests will appreciate it, I know I would!!!!!

As always R beautiful projects and beautiful work, I am not surprised anymore at the amazing things you come up with!!!

michcraw...THANKS, for the words of encouragement.

ok, so my thought on logos on bags...i don't recommend it unless its professionally printed.  my thoughts on DIYing is..it shouldn't LOOK like something you made yourself and with iron on transfers..they tend to look, well, 'homemade'..so, maybe you can take them to a local start up print shop they might be able to help you...OR..maybe just nix the idea of putting the logo on the bag and use a really pretty tag instead.

oftentimes, logo items end up in file 13 or the back of the closet..so i'd hate for guests to use the totes while at the wedding only for them to become 'useless' after...especially after you've gone through the process of putting your logo on them.

just my thoughts.

until next time, happy planning!!

ps...mrsjdh2b..i live in san antonio...a mere hop skip from college station!  msnwink.gif
