do u think dry bleached starfish will absorb food coloring nicely?or should i go with a spay paint .im shooting for a blue/turqoise color ..i was going to make cookies in shape of the dress and wrap them up nicely with a round tag and starfidh with"will you be my bridesmaid"

yep..food coloring should be fine..just follow the instructions on the food coloring box..

 

keep in mind that the coloring will dry differently..also, i think martha has a glittery turquoise color to add some bling...spray painting real starfish can be tricky..they tend to look washed out and don't absorb the paint well...i prefer paint on the fake ones only...

I have to tell you that you have RE inspired me to start up my DIY projects!  GIRL...everything you have done has been EXCEPTIONAL and you have definitely out done yourself!  Your guests will be amazed at all your hard work!  Kudos to you and congrats...you big day is literally right around the corner!  I am anxiously awaiting your review and pictures!

 

OH....I read your ENTIRE planning thread tonight...I discovered it at work and could not wait to get home and read thru the entire thread!

hi, michcraw!

 

cut the ribbon on an angle with SUPER sharp scissors...i don't use my 'ribbon cutting' scissors on anything but ribbon...that way they stay sharp...

 

or you can fold them and cut down for a nice clean double edge...
